Terms of Service
Last updated June 6, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Halftone Studio website, free resources, and paid courses (together, the "Service"). Halftone Studio is a sole proprietorship based in the United States ("Halftone Studio", "we", "us"). By using the Service or buying a course, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Accounts
To access a course you create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your password secure, and to be responsible for activity under your account. Your account and course access are personal to you. Do not share your login, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
Purchases and payment
Courses are sold for a one-time price shown at checkout. Prices are processed in your local currency where available, and regional pricing may apply automatically. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to you. Payments are handled by Stripe, and completing a purchase means you authorize that charge.
What you get
When you buy a course you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view that course for your own learning. "Lifetime access" means access for as long as we continue to operate and offer that course. It does not mean perpetual access regardless of circumstances, and it ends if your license is terminated for a breach of these Terms.
What you may not do
- Share, resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute course content or your account access.
- Download, copy, or rip the videos or materials except where we explicitly provide a download.
- Reproduce the course, in whole or in part, to create a competing product.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
Intellectual property
The course videos, written materials, designs, and original artwork on the site are owned by Halftone Studio or its instructors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Reference images of historical or public-domain works are provided for study; the way we present, compile, and teach with them remains ours. Your license to use a course does not transfer any ownership to you.
Community
Some courses include access to a private community such as a Discord server. Be respectful. We may remove members who harass others, share pirated content, or otherwise violate these Terms or the community rules.
Refunds
Courses are covered by our 14-day money-back guarantee. See our Refund Policy for details and how to request a refund.
Educational purpose and no guarantee of results
Our courses are educational. We share methods and practice that we believe in, but your results depend on your own effort and practice. We do not promise any specific skill level, outcome, income, or result.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Halftone Studio and its instructors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the course in question.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, including by sharing or pirating course content. Where we terminate access for a breach, no refund is owed.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Halftone Studio operates in the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless your local consumer-protection laws require otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
